Δράση

step 1

Students will recap their discussion from LU1 about what the weather is like in the UK. They will discuss whether it is the same all year round, or what does and doesn't change with our seasons, and how the weather affects us.

step 2

They will keep a diary for a week to record data from the school's weather station.

  • Observed temperature using an outdoor thermometer, and interpret whether it is warm, mild or cold.
  • Measure precipitation levels and wind speed, and conclude what weather the data represents.
  • Observe cloud formation by sketching the clouds seen throughout the week, and identify the different types.

step 3

Students will then have a video call with children from a partner school in another country to compare their weather. They will learn what it is like to live in a different climate.
